Studio · Video & Tape

Upload game film. Cut clips. Analyze.

Studio is your video and tape tool for flag football: upload game film, cut frame-accurate clips, draw straight on the video and tag stats — all with your team. Use it on its own or linked to your playbook.

Everything for game film study

From upload to cutting to analysis — in one tool.

Upload game film

Upload game videos in the background — the upload keeps running while you already work, and is streamable the moment transcoding finishes.

Frame-accurate clips

Set in and out markers frame-accurate and cut every play right on your device — no re-encoding, no external editor.

Telestration / draw on the video

Pause and draw straight onto the frame — arrows, lines, zones and markers, tied to the timestamp and saved for the team.

Stats tagging

Tag every clip with down, distance, result, target player and coverage — structured data instead of loose notes.

Analysis per game & tournament

Analyze tagged clips per game and across entire tournaments — tendencies, completion rates and coverage at a glance.

Roster & parental consent

Manage your roster and document parental consent for minors — GDPR and COPPA compliant, cleanly per player.

Turn clips into videos

Turn clips into standalone videos — this combines them permanently and frees up the occupied hours of your plan again.

Link clips ↔ plays

Link clips with drawn plays and jump in both directions — with an active Play subscription, seamlessly between video and playbook.

Invite your team with roles

Invite coaches, managers and players and grant granular access per season and tournament — everyone sees exactly what they should.

Gameplan & live play-calling

Build a per-opponent game plan, then call it live: the engine suggests plays from your script, opponent tendencies and the clock. Capture opponent looks in 1–2 taps, stay in sync with a second coach, and export call-sheets & wristbands.

How it works

From raw footage to analysis in three steps.

1

Upload

Upload game film by drag & drop — the upload keeps running in the background and is streamable the moment transcoding finishes.

2

Cut & tag

Set in/out markers for frame-accurate clips and tag down, distance, result, target player and coverage — together as a team.

3

Draw & analyze

Pause and draw onto the frame, then analyze your clips per game and tournament — and link them with your plays.

Linked with Play

If you also use Play, our playbook tool, the loop closes: link a clip from Studio with the drawn play and jump between video and playbook anytime.

Both tools are standalone — linking requires an active Play subscription.

More about Play
  • Attach a game clip to the matching drawn play
  • Jump from the play straight to the footage — and back
  • See how a planned play actually looked on the field

On iPad, phone & desktop — with touch and Apple Pencil

Optimized for iPad

Big player, clips and tools at hand — film study like a native app, perfect for the team meeting.

Touch & Apple Pencil

Telestrate right on the freeze frame — routes, reads and coaching points with your finger or precisely with a pen.

What is Studio?

Studio is the video and tape tool from FlagPlay Studio. You upload game film, cut frame-accurate clips, draw straight onto the video (telestration), tag stats and analyze everything per game and tournament — together as a team.

Which video formats can I upload?

Studio accepts the common camera and phone formats like MP4 and MOV. After the background upload, your game videos are transcoded automatically and are directly streamable — on laptop, tablet and phone.

How do I cut clips?

You set an in and an out marker in the player and cut the clip frame-accurate right on your device — no re-encoding and no external editor. Every clip can then be tagged, labeled and linked.

What is telestration?

Telestration means drawing straight onto the video. You pause at the decisive moment and drag arrows, lines, zones or markers onto the frame. The drawings are tied to the timestamp and saved for the team.

How many hours and members are included?

Starter includes 50 hours of video and up to 50 members, Pro 150 hours and up to 100 members, Elite 400 hours and up to 100 members. Need more members, hours or teams? We'll put together a custom offer. Need room again? Turn clips into standalone videos to free up the occupied hours.

Do I need Play to use Studio?

No. Studio works completely on its own. Play is our separate playbook tool. Only if you want to link clips with drawn plays do you additionally need an active Play subscription.

How does parental consent work?

For underage players you document parental consent in the roster. Studio is built for GDPR and COPPA compliance, so footage of young people is managed cleanly and traceably per player.

How is it billed and can I cancel?

Every Studio plan starts with a 30-day free trial. Studio is billed per team and annually — a transparent annual price with no seat fees. You can cancel anytime; access then remains until the end of the paid term.
